The point behind doing this is using language as a weapon. The Leftwaffe has anathemitized certain words, which the "woke" now know to erase from their vocabularies, ala 1984's Newspeak. Anyone who, in the future, does use these words has marked himself as The Other, and may be freely censored, deplatformed, and even attacked in public.

Master bedroom implies home ownership. This is to move people towards no longer seeing themselves as masters of their own properties. To debase themselves from their identities.
