TIL slashdot still exists! They were super early on the woke train. That's one of the reasons I first started using reddit 12 years ago.

Google wants antitrust laws passed. So does Facebook.

It kills almost all competition, because they will be able to "compete" with themselves.

Standard Oil pulled the same trick about a hundred years ago.

...and AT&T allowed itself to be "broken up" in 1982-3, and has since re-assembled itself.
