That means nothing good - not even in their spare time, their families, the communities, or their hobbies.

He's simply written them off, as you have too, "no real purpose," which is utterly absurd.

I am NOT a fan of the military from their leadership to their grunts and their used up vets. I'm not defending the Military Industrial Complex or their pawns, but they are humans nontheless.

    So, it was your comment that was removed /u/beermeem. I am trying to piece together what happened after the fact. I don't know what you said but it sure triggered hone, eh? Good for you hone seems to have outed himself.

    I would like to say something about veterans if I may. Many of them joined the military believing they were doing something good for their country. Then, after some months or years a lot of them came to the realization that whatever war they had joined for was in fact not at all what they thought when they joined up. Realizing that you are in the belly of the beast while you are in a war zone can be traumatic in itself. Saying, "vets don't do anything to help America" is beyond absurd. There is something called the Veterans Administration that purports to help veterans but in fact it is a vast bureaucracy designed to do as little as possible for veterans.

    Once in the military you are no longer permitted freedom of expression nor thought, especially when your life depends upon it.

    Signing up for the military is voluntary enslavement, selling yourself for a pittance.

    Many who enlist have no other options in their impoverished regions.
