USA 151 deaths per million population. Sweden? 200 deaths per million. (So far 200 dead Swedes, and as you said weeks to go until it ends.)

So Sweden is suffering a death rate 33% higher than the US. If we followed the Swedish example instead of 50,000 dead we would have 67,000 dead.... and in "weeks" we would reach "herd immunity!" That is to say tens of thousands more would be dead. What a great plan!

But wait, there's more. Sweden has an advanced health-care system. In Sweden you can stay home with pay if you or a family member is sick. We can guess you are more likely to walk out of a Swedish hospital than an American one. So add another (let's guess) ten percent dead to the Swedish model if applied to the US.

Yessir, letting the old, poor, and weak die off sure would work! Except for all the dead people it is a great idea.

So, 200/1000000 = 0.2%? So, like the flu? I feel bad for all the people and their family of the deceased, but.. those rates hardly warrant these strict measures.

Love this virtue signalling canned response once the numbers get brought up. The pro Coronavirus argument always degrades in to something resembling this canned response. How many Americans are you going to let die from smoking, drinking, obesity, poverty, hunger, car crashes, etc., etc. See that argument breaks down when you start looking at other preventable causes of death. Are we going to shut the country down because of suicides? No we aren't. Why? Because that won't frighten a whole population in to self confinement. It doesn't benefit the establishment. Did you know the richest 500 people have seen their wealth increase over 20% since this has started? Rich are getting richer and the corporations got a bigger bail out than it 2009 under Obama. Its sick and sad all at the same time. Lambs leading themselves to the slaughter.
