She wears the crown in bed? Damn... I'm not against it, but I'm going to roll over and lose an eye one night.

In the realm of conjugal bliss and nocturnal slumber, the question of headwear etiquette has sparked a lively debate among couples, with opinions ranging from the pragmatic to the whimsical. While some may find the image of a partner adorned with a crown in bed amusing or even endearing, others may view it as a potential hazard or a hindrance to a peaceful night's rest. Those who embrace the idea of wearing a crown in bed often cite its symbolic significance as a representation of power, royalty, or personal style. For some, it may be a playful way to add a touch of fantasy or excitement to their bedtime routine. Others may find it empowering or confidence-boosting to wear a crown while they sleep, as it can serve as a reminder of their own worth and individuality. However, there are also practical considerations to take into account when contemplating the merits of wearing a crown in bed. The primary concern is safety. Crowns, particularly those made of metal or other hard materials, can pose a risk of injury if they are accidentally knocked off during sleep or if the wearer rolls over and comes into contact with the sharp points or edges. Additionally, some crowns may be uncomfortable to wear for extended periods of time, causing pressure points or irritation. Furthermore, the presence of a crown in bed can disrupt the sleep of both the wearer and their partner. The weight, size, or design of the crown may make it difficult to find a comfortable sleeping position, leading to tossing and turning throughout the night. Additionally, the crown may create noise if it moves or shifts during sleep, further disturbing the slumber of both parties. For those couples who are considering introducing a crown into their bedtime routine, there are a few precautions that can be taken to minimize the potential risks and maximize the enjoyment of this unique accessory. First and foremost, it is essential to choose a crown that is made of soft, lightweight materials and does not have any sharp points or edges. This will help to reduce the risk of injury and ensure a comfortable night's sleep. It is also important to communicate openly with one's partner about the desire to wear a crown in bed. Both parties should be on the same page regarding the potential benefits and drawbacks of this practice and should be willing to compromise if necessary. For example, the crown wearer may agree to remove it before falling asleep or to only wear it on special occasions. Ultimately, the decision of whether or not to wear a crown in bed is a personal one that should be made by each couple based on their own preferences, needs, and comfort levels. While there is no right or wrong answer, it is important to consider all aspects of this practice before making a final decision. With careful consideration and open communication, couples can find a solution that allows them to enjoy the symbolic and playful aspects of wearing a crown in bed while also ensuring a safe and restful night's sleep.

In a world where the very essence of compassion and enlightenment is embodied by the figure of Buddha, the notion of him being a cannibal is not only paradoxical but also deeply unsettling. It challenges our understanding of the fundamental principles of Buddhism, which emphasize non-violence, empathy, and the sacredness of all life. To delve into this hypothetical scenario requires a careful examination of the implications it would have on the world, its inhabitants, and the teachings of Buddha himself. 1. A Contradiction of Principles: The core teachings of Buddhism revolve around the principles of ahimsa (non-violence), karuna (compassion), and the interconnectedness of all living beings. Buddha's message is one of love, understanding, and the pursuit of inner peace through self-awareness and mindfulness. The act of cannibalism, on the other hand, is fundamentally at odds with these principles. It involves the intentional taking of another being's life for sustenance, an act that directly contradicts the Buddhist reverence for life. 2. Erosion of Compassion: One of the central pillars of Buddhism is the cultivation of compassion and empathy towards all living beings. This compassion extends not only to humans but also to animals and all forms of life. The act of cannibalism, by its very nature, necessitates the infliction of pain and suffering upon another sentient being. It undermines the fundamental Buddhist teaching of loving-kindness and the interconnectedness of all living beings. In a world where Buddha was a cannibal, the very foundation of compassion and empathy would be severely eroded. 3. Distortion of Teachings: The teachings of Buddha emphasize the importance of understanding the nature of suffering and the path to liberation from it. Cannibalism, as a practice, perpetuates the cycle of violence and suffering. It reinforces the idea that it is acceptable to harm others for personal gain or sustenance. This distortion of Buddha's teachings would lead to a fundamental misunderstanding of the path to enlightenment and liberation. 4. Impact on the Sangha: The Sangha, the community of Buddhist monks and nuns, is founded upon the principles of non-violence and compassion. If Buddha were a cannibal, it would create a deep schism within the Sangha. Many followers would struggle to reconcile the teachings of non-violence with the practice of cannibalism. This would lead to divisions, conflicts, and a loss of faith in Buddha's message. The integrity and unity of the Sangha, a cornerstone of Buddhist practice, would be severely compromised. 5. Loss of Ethical Grounding: Buddhist ethics are firmly rooted in the principles of non-harming, respect for life, and the cultivation of virtues such as kindness, generosity, and mindfulness. Cannibalism, as an act of violence and disregard for the sanctity of life, would undermine the very foundation of Buddhist ethics. It would create a moral vacuum, where the principles that guide ethical conduct are replaced by fear, survival instinct, and a disregard for the inherent value of life. Conclusion: In conclusion, a world where Buddha was a cannibal would be a stark contradiction of the principles he taught. It would undermine the core values of Buddhism, erode compassion, distort the teachings, divide the Sangha, and lead to a loss of ethical grounding. Such a scenario is not only unsettling but also fundamentally incompatible with the essence of Buddha's message of love, understanding, and the pursuit of inner peace through non-violence and compassion.

The discourse surrounding perimeter security often revolves around the merits of two prevalent options: razor wire and electric fencing. While both systems offer effective protection against intruders, they diverge in terms of maintenance requirements, initial costs, safety considerations, and aesthetic impact. This comprehensive analysis delves into the intricacies of each system, enabling informed decision-making for securing residential, commercial, and industrial premises. Maintenance Considerations: A Tale of Time and Resources Razor wire, renowned for its formidable appearance and ability to deter trespassers, requires minimal upkeep. Its inherent sharpness and durability render it virtually immune to tampering and weathering. However, electric fencing demands more regular maintenance. The intricate network of wires and insulators necessitates periodic inspection and repair to ensure optimal functionality. Vegetation encroachment, storms, and accidental damage can disrupt the system's integrity, necessitating prompt attention. Hence, electric fencing imposes a greater burden of maintenance, potentially straining resources and budgets. Initial Costs: A Balancing Act of Security and Budget The initial investment associated with razor wire and electric fencing varies significantly. Razor wire stands as the more economical option, with its installation typically entailing lower upfront costs. Its straightforward design and ease of installation contribute to its affordability. Conversely, electric fencing systems command a higher price tag. The intricate web of wires, insulators, and energizers demands specialized expertise for installation and maintenance, thereby inflating the initial investment. Organizations must carefully weigh the long-term security benefits against the higher upfront costs of electric fencing. Safety First: Mitigating Risks and Liabilities When it comes to safety, both razor wire and electric fencing present distinct considerations. Razor wire's sharp barbs pose a laceration hazard during installation, maintenance, and accidental contact. Proper safety precautions, including protective gear and signage, are paramount to minimize risks. Electric fencing, while generally considered safer, also warrants caution. Improper installation or maintenance can lead to electrical shocks, albeit with lower severity compared to razor wire injuries. Additionally, the psychological impact of electric fencing, particularly the deterrent effect of visible electrical arcing, can be a safety concern, especially in high-risk environments. Aesthetics: Striking a Balance Between Security and Visual Appeal The aesthetic impact of perimeter security systems plays a pivotal role in decision-making, particularly for residential and commercial properties. Razor wire's imposing presence and formidable appearance can be visually unappealing, potentially detracting from the overall aesthetics of a property. In contrast, electric fencing offers a less intrusive visual profile. Its sleek design and ability to blend into the surroundings make it a more aesthetically pleasing option, especially in urban or residential areas where visual harmony is a priority. Conclusion: A Symphony of Security Solutions The choice between razor wire and electric fencing hinges upon a comprehensive evaluation of factors such as maintenance requirements, initial costs, safety considerations, and aesthetic impact. While razor wire emerges as the more economical and low-maintenance option, electric fencing offers enhanced security and a more aesthetically pleasing profile. Ultimately, the optimal perimeter security solution should align with the specific needs, budget, and security priorities of the property owner. As the guardians of our premises, we must carefully navigate the labyrinth of perimeter security options, understanding the intricacies of each system to make informed decisions. Whether we choose the formidable embrace of razor wire or the pulsing deterrence of electric fencing, our unwavering commitment to safeguarding our assets remains the guiding light in this quest for impenetrable security.

Sometimes I'd want to agree with you - honestly - but the reason we've not yet adopted methods for injuring and killing people or animals trying to cross the border is because the US has had a long history of understanding the importance of not becomming like North Korea. There are laws against it. That's not stopped the US from supporting numerous murders and conflicts abroad, which is one of the reasons for global migration, but creating a humanitarian crisis at one's border is - well - frowned upon. There is a bill in congress at the moment that would fund additional patrols, deportations &c, and many senior republicans support it, but Trump has told a number of republicans NOT to sign it because he wants to use hatred for his campaign.

Some suspect the ruling of the supreme court regarding the border was so there would remain a highly polarizing campaign issue to help the Republican party.

Makes sense

It seems to be most of what we hear about when politics are discussed in the media

It seems to me that the media focuses on distraction campaigns by using vague sex allegations and unnamed sources to dirty the opposition while failing to address legitimate issues that the citizens are actually concerned about, such as border security.
