A look at slavery outside of the West. It has become popular to blame White people for slavery, to the point that many actually believe slavery was invented by or exclusively practiced by Europeans. Europeans abolished slavery on humanitarian grounds, and spread this across the globe.

Correct. Every culture is ignorant of real history, believing in their own preferred fake history. Sometimes that fake history is "we're the greatest" and sometimes its "we're the worst".

The truth is every culture sucks, because people are dicks. They just suck in different ways.

Everybody thinks we are a democracy because they have forgotten feudalism @ serfdom, slavery and colonialism...

"We are a constitutional republic." "I don't know what that means, democracy?" "no." "wat?" That is pretty much how it goes everytime I correct someone on that.

Everybody thinks we are a democracy

Because they get to vote every few years, and think that voting is the only thing which makes a democracy democratic.

Because they think that voting for Kodos over Kang will make a serious difference.
