Yeah, not all Christians are hateful.

Only those that see christianity as a bastion for their power, not ones that see it as a conduit of love.

Not hateful Christians isn't a new demographic. All the gay and trans hatred in particular is relatively new.

Christ himself appears to have been all about the marginalized.
