Oh, the 60s? You mean when teen girls marrying was way more common, and the age of consent was lower? That's your model time for when we didn't tolerate pedophilia?

Or should we talk about the sexual abuse of child stars, which was way more common in the past?

In a world where you hear about child pornography rings getting busted all the time, if the best "link" between gay marriage and pedophilia you can come with is that five years after gay marriage was legalized nationally, a streaming service came out with a movie that was widely reviled for sexualizing children, then frankly you're just refuting your own claim if anything.

Back in the day, people were mature in their teenaged years. Hence why the age of marriage was once lower. Nowadays, they're hardly independent from their extended family at 30, and many more people never marry.

But that's not what we're talking about. We're talking about serial child molesters like Joe Biden who rape elementary aged and younger kids.

People now are having less sex than ever before. They all have a arm-long list of fetishes instead and can't deal with other human beings irl.

The amount of sex people are having is crashing, but mainly for men. Women are having roughly the same amount of sex, however all the guys who are getting laid are in the top 20% of looks and there is a vast number of incels at the bottom who get nothing.

Most of those incels could do something to improve their looks. Good diet, lifting, stretching, mewing, etc. The difference between now and the past is that instead of men improving themselves they have a whole range of behavioural addictions they can use to dissociate themselves from real life and avoid tackling their problems.

Yes and no. Women also have access to a much wider pool than they ever have in the past. So you’re both somewhat correct.

I thought the argument was that women were having sex with a smaller number of men not a wider pool.

I don't see how the number of men women have available to them has changed much in the last 50 years.
