I think the fundamentals of the economy are absolutely fucked and it's being held together with duct tape and twine, and the Fed is scrambling to try to keep it afloat.

Everyone wants that to be a partisan issue, but the truth is, both parties have gleefully participated in destroying the economy since the 1970s. Every single administration since Gerald Ford, with the possible exception of Bill Clinton, has been cutting taxes while increasing expenditures, favoring perceived short-term political gain over any kind of long-term economic viability.
