Moving forward, until the dam can be removed, wildlife officials will only release fish below the dam so the animals don’t have to swim through the tunnel. The hatchery still has roughly 3.27 million fall-run Chinook salmon, and additional releases are scheduled for later this month.

The river doesn't sound dead. It sounds like fish swimming though the tunnel, already scheduled for demolition, should be avoided.

I'm not sure that the dailycaller is giving a fair and honest reporting of the situation. They seem to be pushing an anti-envrionmental point of view that isn't supported by the facts that they're trying to report.

Yagh. We'll put up little signs under water telling the fish to avoid the tunnel.

And then we'll just read your reply over and over again, and pretend that the environmental damage didn't occur.

Problem solved.

Releasing the fish below the dam will work.

The environmental damage of many of the released fish not making it through a tunnel?

That's not environmental damage. That's a poor choice of location or timing to release fish.

Or the environmental damage of the dams in the first place?

That damage has been done. But this work is underway to restore it.

Wow. You are such an environment denier. It's like you didn't even read the article at all! Why do you hate the Earth so much?

What is your specific point?

Do you think releasing the fish below the dam won't work?

Why not?

Every time government does something to help wildlife they always harm it instead.

With the removal of the dam, the electric cooperatives that were receiving power from the dam have announced that they are delaying the shutdown of coal fired plants.

Well we lost the clean energy, but at least the tribe of savages that lives along the river may be able to go fishing one day.
