Chicken Little had no good reason to believe that the sky was falling, and the other animals had no reason to listen to her panic.

In real life, we can see with our own eyes that climate is changing due to global warming, leading to shifts in weather patterns and climate zones:

• The permafrost line in Canada has moved 80 miles north in just fifty years.
• The North American wheat/corn boundary has shifted 140 miles east.
• Farmers recognise that conditions are getting worse:
  • Vineyards in Australia are already suffering.
  • So is olive oil production across Europe.
• Oil companies are taking advantage of less ice in the Arctic to move into the Arctic sea to look for oil.
• Greenland is haemorrhaging ice. Glaciers are disappearing.
• Ski resorts are starting to stockpile snow from one year to the next.
• The oceans are significantly more acidic, and fisheries are affected.
• The Sahara Desert has increased in size by 10%.

Etc. This is just the beginning.

It's not Chicken Little panic to see a disaster coming for our grandchildren and want to do something about it. We've had fifty years since global warming has been indisputable and we've done nothing to even reduce the disaster, let alone prevent it.
