The reason Canada got down to -50 this weekend gone is because the jet stream and polar vortex in the Arctic are weakening, and the reason for that is because the air temperature in the Arctic is warming.

The more heat we put into the oceans and atmosphere, the more it disrupts the weather patterns we rely on, and the more extremes we get, both hot and cold extremes.

But this happens every year. But this year, it’s caused by climate change. Yeah, sure. Okay.

It sounds like you're expressing skepticism about the connection between certain events occurring annually and attributing them to climate change. If you have specific concerns or questions about the relationship between events and climate change, I'm here to provide information or engage in a discussion. Climate change can have complex and varied impacts on different phenomena, so it's understandable to have questions. What specific aspect are you interested in discussing or learning more about?

I thought that Canada and the US was going through a really extreme cold spell. Is that not the case? I'm not Canadian. Is -50 normal for an average Canadian winter? Then why are people going on about how astonishingly cold it is?

nothing to do with normal fluctuations, nosir, only people are evil

Correct. If it were normal, people wouldn't be having a hissy fit about how cold it is.

only people are evil

What other things can be evil? Rocks? Polyester trousers? Coffee cups? Cherry blossoms? Surely a thing needs to be intelligent and capable of understanding the difference between right and wrong in order to be evil. As far as I know, only people have that knowledge.

Some people are certainly evil. But that's neither here nor there when it comes to global warming. GW is a technical problem caused by too many people using too much energy generated from fossil fuels, not a matter of "evil". Its like traffic jams and queues, a consequence of our modern world (although more serious and with much, much greater effects).

What is evil though are the people who know full well that GW is happening, but are prepared to sacrifice future generations, including their own grandkids, out of pure greed to extract every last penny they can now, and future generations be fucked.

What is also evil are those who use faked concern about GW to push through their own selfish agenda. I'm looking at you, psychopaths of the WEF.
