Perhaps they were afraid of the US cloning their system. If people know how it works, counter-measures could be developed by more people, so it would also be bad for operational security. Can't you think of such reasons yourself?

You imply that Israel has been caught all these times, which is not what these sources support, but it does seem that Israel isn't exactly a saint.
