Groups like the Rockefellers and the Rothschilds have been used as agents of the Jesuits and the CIA many times in the past. This interesting article covers some of Rockefeller's misadventures in China.

It's Rockefeller talking about some of his opinions on the Chinese government. Some of Mao's views were influenced by the Jesuit Teilhard and Teilhard himself was influential on Chinese Intelligence as well. Even today, the Vatican is said to have a lot of influence over the Chinese government.
