One year on...

Still zero evidence of a natural origin. No intermediate hosts, or human from animal infections of low grade infectiousness.

We do have:

A viral research lab in the city it came from. Doing research on bat Corona viruses. With some very unusual alterations to the genome, one of which we've never seen in a natural virus. Lab workers apparently hospitalised for some reason very early on.

Why the hell can't this research happen on dedicated islands with proper quarantine facilities?

Because GOF is worthless as a stepping stone to developing new therapies. None of these viral experiments ever do. What insights into treating covid did the wuhan lab or their collaborators at UNC Chapel Hill have as a result of frankensteining coronaviruses? Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Zero. Fucking crickets from those guys in the last year.

What was the justification for GOF research again? Better therapies. Where were those therapeutic recommends from GOF researchers? Nowhere.

Because its a BIOWEAPONS PROGRAM.
