I believe that there is a much bigger group of choices when it comes to the way a government should be run, unlike the right and left that seek to associate certain versions to themselves alone, I like to believe there is a whole lot more room to experiment with politics.

It's the three main versions of government according to Aristotle and their bad derivatives. Unlike most people I don't think all authoritarian types of government for example, are evil by themselves, but they all have their advantages and disadvantages.

The One needs executives, The Many need representatives. The elites are always present, no need to give them a special slot.

Prosperity comes when people can enjoy the rewards of their own work. This can happen either when they live in a naturally small community, or when they live in a country with wise laws.

The first is more pleasant, the second is realistic. Who can protect such laws from idiots and villains? An educated king? An educated majority? A persuasively written constitution?

The original job of a state, is to protect its citizens from other, inner and outer, more tyrannical state wannabes. Once media or corporations touch the laws, there must be some reaction. Or the country will receive a new ruler.
