It's important to add that many agricultural areas around the world are experiencing long-term droughts. That's not an outlook, that's the current reality for the foreseeable future. These are areas where tech could really be solving a lot of problems including the possibilities of reseeding fallow land and even reintroducing native species of pinnacle food animals and maybe even plants that were decimated throughout the country. Did you know that the herds of buffalo that once lived in the midwest could sustainably feed the entire population of the country even today?

droughts, excess rainfall and shortened growing seasons. Canada lost most of its crops last season due to early snow.

EDIT. canola crops. in 2019. been a tough year, sorry for being lazy

sorry, 2019, not 2020, that year flew past. I was also lazy and said 'crops' when I should have said "canola"

Thank you for making me go and find the source.

Canada's leading crop is wheat, not rape.

I'm seeing 10-15% max unharvested in the articles I'm reading. Still the greatest amount of moisture in 30-years most sources seem to mention. I'm positive it affects subsidies.
