when he says fake alternatives he doesn't mean they have a few paid shills it has to do with who runs the site, now maybe it doesn't matter. I do like how there is no censorship on voat but you can't really have a legit discussion there. The lame memes and insults turn off legit intelligent posters. When you post on these kinds of sites your IP address is recorded. Israel runs voat and wants to use it to catch any possible terrorists so they encourage antisemitic posts there. Then they investigate each one to see if it is a real threat. It never has been yet since they're all just tough guy keyboard warriors but it is possible that some have been legit threats that they took out quietly and we never knew about it.
