When you see the letters NGO, be wary. So many of them are involved in crime, intelligence, child trafficking, etc.

I'd say 99% or more of the big ones are corrupt.

I've lived in and often revisited a SE Asian city with many NGOs (now decreasing) and met many international young people who hoped to do something good but all of them were soooo disillusioned.
