It's not how you invest your money that matters, it's how you spend it.

I knew a guy who wanted to invest locally (a province in Canada) to get enough to go spend his retirement somewhere warmer. I told him how this makes no sense in terms of being a nationalist. Invest however will make you the most, spend it where you want to be of support.
