I'm no tucker lover... (I don't even have a tv)... but the guy was in his 20's back then and was pretty young. Also he clearly very much self-identified as a "conservative" despite his self-described libertarian leanings. That was his personality and how he dressed at the time with those bow ties. Not hard to believe that a young person with those leanings would work for such an organization without a full understanding of its history. Who does at that age?

Or maybe you're right and he was in on the the whole iran-contra scam from the start. I don't know. Just pointing out the obvious.

Of course, you don't make a career in that environment with a pure set of morals.
