if CIA are willing to kidnap children and distribute drugs in its own homeland then distributing a dangerous virus in another country to destroy their economy doesn't sound too far fetched

I never thought about this specific scenario, but it would probably be the best way to go about doing this. I just assumed that the CIA had something to do with it. The US stands to gain the most from this virus. China is ruined for decades, if not generations. This virus pretty much guarantees Trump a win in the trade war, kills China's economy and reputation, and ensures China won't take over the US economically or militarily anytime soon. And this is before we even know the entire truth of what's happening on the ground there.

One thing I find to be super suspicious is that as soon as Coronavirus breaks out, the US government arrests like 5 people with illegal connections to China: Harvard professor and chair of genetic department; Chinese students in the US including one PLA member; a Raytheon engineer who was allegedly selling US missile secrets to China; two Chinese students who were taking pics of a military base; charging Huawei with racketeering and threatening to sanction any other country who does business with Huawei.

All of these within a month of the virus breaking out. No way this is a coincidence.
