I'll top that.

I opened an account on Google/ YouTube - my first ever- and posted a comment defending Free Speech under the comments section of a YouTube video. They shadow-banned my post. This was well before shadow-banning was a thing people knew about. This is about a decade ago. I had to figure it out for myself after becoming suspicious of the lack of reaction (zero) my post got in an active discussion under the video.

It's not just that they did that, it's what it implies. If you make a point and you make it well, you're identified and targeted instantly- no posting history necessary. They differentiate between someone who can make a point and your average Joe poster the way the police differentiatte between small time pot dealers and the drug cartels.
