OK, is free speech a left-wing value? I have been assured repeatedly and vehemently that it is not.

Former ACLU legal director and Berkeley law professor John A. Powell recently told a reporter from the New Yorker that absolutist free speech rules in the United States fail to weigh the value of speech against the harms that speech can cause, and argued that we ought to regulate speech that can cause P.T.S.D. and "stereotype threat."

Is Reddit pro-free speech? Why or why not?

As in exclusively a left wing value? I'd hope not.

Not really, which is why I'm here. Considering the latest bans I don't think there's even a need to explain why since it's obvious.

You're not here for freedom of speech. You're here for your own speech. There's a huge difference in values.
