Wow, I didn't know there was a 1k character limit

He means a 1k item fetch limit. So if you hit 'next page', it stops giving you post results after 1000 items (10 pages) we turned that up to 10,000 items so you can hit 'next' almost forever and see everything. However the downside is that the front page loads a bit slower than the rest of the pages, because it has to fetch 10k items. So it's a trade-off and we went for information access
