Can anyone think if any good reasons that Elon Musk would want to drive the Tesla stock price down? It's surprising that he's done some seemingly "crazy" things recently, but he's a wise character. Musk always plays a long term game.

Midlife crisis is typically driven by a lack of accomplishment, and regrets about life choices.
Not something I'd attribute to Musk.
Could be the media hype to drive the company in the private direction. It's easier to accomplish the long term goal when quarterly profits affect investor confidence.
