She speaks science and common sense.

Biology matters!

all these idiots are putting too much thought into all this, gender is stupid, there is only xy and xx

what happens after that is really up to each individual person, if they call themelves female or males, whatever who da fuck cares, i dont give a shit,

the bathroom problem is easily solved by having only 1 bathroom for everyone

sports debate is easily solved by having 1 sport for everyone, both xy and xx people

thailand is full of transgender and no one cars, i think the US is behind a couple decades

i always mind my own business an dont care if some chick wants to be a dude

What the fuck? I don't want to share my bathroom with men, and sports need to be separated because men are biologically much stronger than women! We are not the same.

Either we have equality or we don't. No segregation of sexes or full segregation of sexes.

Your idea is reductive and not thought out. We can have equal opportunities without having to share everything.

This. Women sports always look weird somewhere in the middle between real sports and special Olympics. They should compete on equal footing with everyone else, if they can't then tough luck.

Only until the 7 ft tall 300 lbs "Miss" breaks your jaw for calling her "Sir" accidentally.

this is why they want to get rid of the sir/madam

which i agree with, because when i worked as a salesperson selling cars, some really fucknig ugly people came into our dealership, and i had no idea if it was a man or women, and theres no really easy way to know and you cant even ask

these people dont know their ugly

this was many years before the transgender movement, like ive dealt with many many ugly person,

once we remove sir/madam, it will make things much easier, beause in the end i dont care about if their xy or xx, or care about their life,

i just want to make a sale and move on to the next

This attitude you have towards other humans is really telling. This attitude is what's wrong with the consumerist cult. Tell those ugly people how it is, and treat them like a human. Have some empathy, and if you need to get some, why don't you try living a life on the fringe? Why don't you try looking at the world through the eyes of a suffering human. You may grow as a person, then you''l care more about THE PERSON than THE SALE.

if they do, it will be mostly men in sports and maybe a couple big big women, i think thats why the decide to start a girls sports only,

frankly, i prefer the libertarian way, it should be up to the business and every business should be allowed to discriminate,

so since the current sports businesses are allowing transgender, then the women can quit and form their own sports league and allow only whoever they want, which in their case, they would only allow xx humans who look like women and got vaginas

same in restaurants, if you want to allow whites or blacks only, it should be allowed,

if i ran a restaurants, i would allow all to maximize profits and get bigger,

but someone who allows only "argentina" citizens to their restaurant would prolly survive but not make big money since there is not a lot of argentina people in the US

the libertarian way is the best way

it's the politicians who are pushing this "include" everyone bullshit,

people still discriminate just do it secretly,

i didn't rent my rental apartment to a dude because he was a black sketchy person, and i prefer not to rent to black people,

you're not allowed, but i still do it because i do it secretly and not tell the truth

so i wasted the guys time and wasted my time,

if we were allowed, i would simply write "no blacks"

and it would save both our time

Society affects people more broadly than just whether they can buy a new car that day. The "libertarian" way is a larger impact than just you and one customer. If you don't sell that car, and your neighbor doesn't either, and you cause a general neighborhood tendency toward not selling cars to black people, then that person may have trouble buying a car anywhere, which may make it hard to drive to a place where he can work. And if landlords behave the same way, he may have trouble finding a place to live, and overall it becomes more problematic for him to live at all in the country where he was born, which will make him ever more undesirable to people who are making superficial judgments.

I mean, we've been through this, and I really think you should read some history. Nothing is just "libertarian". We are affected by the choices around us, and those choices affect other people exponentially. Society is a web of interlocked actions. You can say you have a "right" to do whatever thing you are interested in doing, but it is also important to look at the bigger picture, at how it will impact the social structure, at how it would affect you to be told that certain things are now against a law. Things like wearing a seatbelt or drinking under age or while driving, or smoking in hospitals or on planes were legal until laws were passed. These things are your choices, but will make a difference to the whole world.

Single user restroom stalls is where this thing is headed.

[–][deleted] 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

good, because there's not enough privacy in the current stalls, a kid peeked at my once, japanese stalls are better

[–]Realwoman 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Japanese bathrooms are still segregated by sex.

[–][deleted] 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

yes, what i meant is the layout of the toilet stalls, they go all the way up to the ceiling and down to the floor, no one can peak

[–]notdelusional 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Yes I was thinking about the Japanese stalls when writing that. Frankly I don't want to share a bathroom with anyone.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

tell us who you dont want share the bathroom with? niggers?

[–]notdelusional 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

That's cute.

[–]valleyoftherogue 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Not reading it. Anybody who says it is a "myth" that "gender is a social construct" doesn't know what she is talking about. She is conflating the word with "sex."

Hermaphrodites also exist. This cannot be denied.

For whatever reason, no one is fighting for hermaphrodites..

I agree with the author's position (the facts as they are)

I'm just trying to stir shit up in here. ;-)
