No, because Russia would have suffered heavy losses in men and equipment without gaining any new land. You have to be realistic and offer something which will save face for Putin.

But the plan is for them to gain new land. The Donbas, plus formal ownership of Crimea.

And then on top of that, to give Putin something he wants even more: an assurance that Ukraine will never be allowed to join NATO.

Yes, but the land would be land Russia occupied before the invasion. Ukraine would not be permitted to join NATO, but the UN would be obligated to defend Ukraine if Russia invades again.

Russia occupied Crimea before the invasion, but not the Donbas. That was taken during the invasion.

Then Russia will not be permitted to occupy the Donbas. You are thinking of Trump's plan not mine. Remember in my plan Russia only is permitted to occupy land it seized before the invasion.

This is similar to my peace proposal which is Russia will be permitted to occupy territory it seized from Ukraine before the February 2022 invasion although the land would legally belong to Ukraine. Russia must withdraw from all land it seized after the invasion. NATO membership will remain as it is. The UN will be obligated to defend Ukraine if Russia invades again.

Note that in my plan Russia's invasion would have gained no new land. The land Russia is permitted to occupy won't be legally Russia's meaning it could be returned to Ukraine in the future. Finally, Ukraine will be protected from future invasions by Russia.

Biden should present my plan to Putin and Zelensky. This way he has a plan to counter Trump's.
