They fly to Switzerland in their private jets so they can eat filet mignon and discuss how they want to take your gas stove away and make you eat bugs.

It's the top 1% worldwide, not in the US. This includes everyone who makes over $140K. That's not enough for private jets and daily filet.

Admittedly I'm engaging in some hyperbole, but the top 1% does also include the guys with the jets.

I am willing to take the sin on myself and save your souls for $140k a year.

I bet if someone does make $140k, they take a few plane trips a year, not all but on average many do.

From the article:

THE BILLIONAIRE FACTOR The average income of the top one per cent of global earners, according to this report, is US$310,000—but when we look at the 0.01 per cent of global earners, that’s where we see some of the most egregious emissions per person, Thomson said.

“We're really talking about that multi-millionaire and billionaire class,” he said.

The excesses of extreme wealth can mean a huge climate toll. The report cited 2022 research from Greenpeace which found that European private jets emitted a total of 5.3 million tonnes of CO2 between 2020 and 2023.

Climate alarmism is nothing more than communists trying to take over and dictate every small detail of your life.

Notice the “we have to go after the rich” theme. And, of course, “we have to heavily tax the rich.”

That “report” is nothing more than commie propaganda.

Nailed it.

I think people overlook the coming depletion of resources as a reason why they want so much control. By reducing the 99% to a minimal existence the 1% can continue to enjoy the luxury of today for the coming future. When you are at a certain wealth level you start thinking more and more about legacy.

Sounds commie to me.

I think it's not climate change nor resources but the rich are actually mainly afraid of being guillotined. They released covid because they hoped it would kill a lot of people and also they hoped the people that were left would need vaccines, which they would control. That plan didn't work but I bet it's a dry run. Their working on gain of function on other viruses in biolabs as we speak.

I agree with the fear of the guillotine. The level of wealth separation today would make Louis XVI envious.

exactly and it has happened in history before, revolutions, the rich being killed. They also created religion to prevent this.
