I'm guessing that somebody kidnapped him and forced him to give up his Bitcoin keys and they stole his bitcoins and chopped him up.

As a person that enjoys watching forensics files and Cold Case files, I will never understand why people don't bury these suitcases deep in the ground instead of just leaving them laying around somewhere.

No body usually means no murder case.

Or more likely, he got into loads of debt because he was a gambling addict then the loan sharks chopped him up to send a message.

That is a possibility that he got into debt, but when you walk around and live the life that he lived flashing cash all over the place... You're probably going to get robbed and murdered.

Loan sharks usually don't want to kill you, because dead man can't pay.
