You know which peoples have had the lowest number of corona cases? People in Africa. You know why? Because they don’t have televisions.

Interesting phenomena, isn't it. China has a spat of political protests and then suddenly they have so many people dying that crematoriums are working at capacity and have to transport bodies to other facilities to deal with the overflow, but the government claims the deaths weren't from people infected with Covid. I don't know about you guys, but I'm thinking the CCP just culled the segment of the population that was participating in those protests.

Your /s/news posts were removed by automod: https://saidit.net/s/news/modlog

Mods there apparently chose to autoremove everything from unknown users, and then manually approve some posts.

Better use /s/USnews/ for U.S. related news, nothing was removed from that one: https://saidit.net/s/USnews/modlog

I was a mod when that was implemented, might have actually added it myself, don't remember. It's done by automod on certain subs that bots target to cut down on spam, but it can't tell legitimate new users from spam accounts. It's not malicious, it's just not perfect.

Don't trust any news from China. They were originally putting out videos of people falling over dead from corona in the streets. Straight propaganda. Either China has a massive disinformation campaign aimed at english language audiences or the jewish media likes to use the China boogieman to sow fear and uncertainty.

The same media that literally had the audacity to claim that the unvaccinated were creating mutant strains, when the reality is that natural immunity is far less likely to allow for mutant strains to survive than the horrible "vaccine" which only kills one specific strain of covid and allows all other variants to proliferate.

This is nothing but fear propaganda. All variants, regardless of where they come from, will be more mild than the original strain. Short of a second bioengineered virus being released the worst is over.

Either China has a massive disinformation campaign aimed at english language audiences

For this to be true, they would need to control Facebook, Twitter, reddit, Google and all of MSM and then have these outlets constantly deliver negative propaganda about themselves.

the jewish media likes to use the China boogieman to sow fear and uncertainty.

You need to follow my China series. Consider that one of their most famous events in history (Tiananmen Square Massacre) was fake news.

MSM is doing it to manufacture consent for war, this has been pretty common knowledge among the geopolitically aware for a number of years now. And you can't have war against a country that's not a boogeyman (like the evil Putin/Russia boogeyman).

The covid propaganda is not about war with china. But they did set up china as the scape goat for (((their))) bioweapon.

Last I heard, coronaviruses are constantly mutating and China is working on a flavor that already burned through USA a few weeks ago

Funny thing is that you think you know better.

The premise of that nurse's point was that COVID has a higher r0 and transmission rate than the flu. Soft measures like masks and social distancing were effective against limiting spread of the flu, but it wasn't as effective against COVID. Thus more COVID cases, less flu cases.

There is both hospital-level and nation-wide level of evidence for this phenomenon in several countries. Pull out data from the Asian countries where their population had better compliance with COVID measures at the beginning.

Soft measures like masks and social distancing were effective against limiting spread of the flu

Masks have not been shown to be effective at preventing the spread of airborne viruses, only bacteria. And the social distancing caused a temporary reduction in flu cases at the cost of lowered immunity from isolation, which is driving the surge we are now seeing in flu, rsv, strep and other infections.

African countries didn't do any of those things, and they had far lower rates of infection and death than highly compliant countries like Israel, and those in Europe

But yes, you are correct that social distancing + a higher r0 virus temporarily led to fewer flu cases, with a few caveats

Can I just say, everyone I know has been vaccinated, and everyone I know has gotten covid a couple times now and had it pretty rough, not hospitalized but felt like utter shit. My sister just got a booster and got it almost immediately after, dispite me begging her not to. My household didn't get vaccinated, we had covid once, it was rough but we were fine, and haven't had more than a minor head cold since. Honestly I am super glad we didn't get that shot, but I've heard that they are switching all vaccines to MRNA so I don't want my kids to get anymore vaccines.
