Amazing how much cowardice there is in the general population, that such a tiny group of loud nut cases can get so far in trying to invalidate 50+% of the general populace.

It's not cowardice. It's censorship. The people are simply silenced, and their opinion is not sought out because the powerful know exactly what the answer will be.

Stop punching down. Don't bully the little people. That's the act of a shitty person. Be better.

The little people (myself included) are scared that they'll be bullied on Twitter, that they'll lose their jobs, etc. The politicians, CEOs, etc are scared that they'll lose votes or market share because the cunts at Twitter and Google are putting their thumbs on the public opinion scale, in turn because they... learned this shit in university? Not sure about their reasons, TBH.

This is human nature. I've seen it in action years ago, around a far smaller issue that was swayed because of under a dozen loudmouths. But as reality sets in - by politicians losing elections, by corporations losing customers, by new alternatives arising that can't be stomped out by the old guard - people will start to feel safe enough to say what they truly think.

Censorship works when people are scared. And we're programmed towards cowardice aka self preservation. I admire the ones who stand up first and are better. Wish I could count myself amongst them.

Really? The little people are on Twitter? I thought it was a shithole of journalists, politicians, and other deplorables.

You don't need to be on Twitter to be bullied on Twitter.

Really? People who aren't on Twitter are scared that they'll be bullied on Twitter?

Please cite evidence. Smells like bullshit.

If your employer is on Twitter and the mob decides to target you because some asshole heard you speak at a conference or something and decides to dogpile you with their internet friends, you can still get fired. Give it a try sometime.

Also, these fuckers have been known to find phone numbers and use them, believe it or not.

Wow, you sure do know a lot! Almost like you've been participating in the social justice mobs.

Prior to this interaction, I was wondering why people found you unpleasant to deal with. I'm pretty sure I understand now.
