Like it's a bit ridiculous. However, at least they were only convicted of fraud. Not surprising someone convicted of fraud would use such a defense. However, this definitely primes the slope with water. What about murders and rapists?

I can't believe a Nigerian man committed fraud. It just goes against all stereotypes. Next you'll be telling me he's a prince who needs to move 4 million USD.
