I'd feel a lot better about anti-abortion laws if anyone in favor of them actually cared about the child after birth.

What makes you think people who are against abortion don't care about children after birth?

Here in Texas a lot of people are against abortion, but after the kid is born they don't give af. There's no financial support. We've even cut school lunches for low income families over the years. There's not a good support system for these unwanted pregnancies.

Correct they believe that the parents raise their kids, not the government. We're not buying their lunches, shoes, or their first car.

Car aside, refusing to feed or clothe the poor never seemed particularly Christian to me. In my area we spent $70 million on a new high school football stadium but cut school lunch funding for low income children that cost, in comparison, a paltry quarter mil for the entire state.
