    Strangest take ever. I'm not American but I can say that the idea of the state asking to be made aware of private conversations in family homes by people is a little bit of an overreach. At least the Stasi got a salary and pension.

    As for having to complain I wouldn't say most Americans would agree they'd simply think to themselves if one wishes to complain about something they should be able to and not have some snitch in their family report them to the secret police.

    Don't really see how anyone can disagree with that.
