I think the corrupt have hijacked the culture of SF. According to this article, Newsom was elected because he was backed by 8 powerful families, including the Pritzkers. Virginia Giuffre said an owner of a large hotel chain abused her as a minor, and most believe this was one of the Prizkers, who own the Hyatt chain.
