They benefit from a couple of significant differences.

It would be more difficult to create race riots in italy.

They remember how Operation Gladio really works.

Italy was victim to a number of fascist governments.

I hope for dominoes, a very Italian sport, to start with them, leading on to other countries that haven't forgotten (ie. Ireland, Greece, beyond Europe, etc) and if enough shout they may get heard and others might wake up. Hopefully. If we or they are not to distracted locally.
