Democrats have been relying on wedge issues to do the heavy lifting since 1979. Why would this election be any different?

Looks to me like the abortion issue most Americans care about is the abortion of the 2020 election outcome.

Abortion certainly played a role in reducing the Democrats loss in 2022 during the Midterms, but the General Election is different. The midterm voters tend to be richer, whereas turnout in the General Election is higher.

I suppose that this was inevitable. What else does Biden have to campaign on? Bad economy, losing wars, and no major accomplishments.

Then again, Trump has moderated his views on abortion.
