Let me lay out what is being brushed past here by the author to draw eyes and set the tone:

US Statistics are NINE YEARS OLD.

Canadian are EIGHT.

And the report they start this entire article basis is on was made difficult to review as a pdf.

And THAT Canadian one is from 2019- a million years ago in terms of current world and consumer situations and income/food prices. And likely behavior with food at home.

Then we have that even in good times the VAST MAJORITY OF WASTE IS NOT VIA CONSUMERS- Only 14% of food waste was household even then.

And now we have THIS bit:

"Some of it is because “best before dates” are treated as “expired” so people and stores end up throwing out perfectly good food." is due to multiple generations being deeply indoctrinated BY OUR GOVT beliefs about safe food.

The article then STILL tries to imply consumers are the root cause of most corp food waste, saying we are too picky on looks etc.

Only to promptly drop the pretense this is about food consumption or access at all:

This is about political agendas and current narratives-

And they lead the reader by the nose through an entire series of loaded or psy op statements so you reach the views they desire you to hold.

Including the big 4 corp wheat market owners, per them....

Did I mention THAT DATA was from a 2003 OxFam claim? Yeah, a TWENTY YEAR OLD DATAPOINT USED. The entire political narrative is based on that "exposè" point!

Or how about mentioning that CHINA is by far the biggest producers.... but that stays domestic as they consume even more than they grow.

India is next.

And not once did they mention the Ukraine being the wheat bread basket of the world about the same time the other reports were made, or Russia which still is, as most of that wheat goes internationally.

Or the sanctions cutting off "the West" from any of the Russian grain supplies- wheat not contaminated like the stuff with hysterical demands to import theirs by the scum in Ukr now.

So much more could be torn apart and exposed in this article- so much so I strongly suspect it is a republished piece with just a couple edits to make it sound current.
