Eventually the defeat of Ukraine has become impossible to conceal.

It does not matter if the United States Congress decides to pour another $60 billion dollars into the yawning maw that is Ukraine. Money cannot buy Kiev trained soldiers. Money cannot buy Kiev an effective air defense to stop the Russian onslaught of hypersonic missiles. That is what Jacque Baud gets and Robert Clark misses.

The reality is that money can't solve the West's problems either.

The manufacturing base is gone.

Yup.

And now China is sanctioning US firms...

And India has masses going back to field work rather than in the mfg or tech work for western corps they were woefully badly prepared to do competently...

And we the West and particularly the US have so cut our own throats in restarting any kind of real industry or mfg with extreme activist regs and hostile State govts, well, it just won't happen.

The insane year's-long restocking (let alone more) forecasts for nearly anything mil is a huge screaming canary our govt has been ignoring for nearly 2 solid years now.

Israel and the sudden desire to REALLY supply big volumes and types has stripped the last pretence from the claim we have plenty to spare.
