There is roughly a 0.9 correlation between the number of hours of corporate cable news any US citizen consumes each week and how patently ridiculous this individual's entire worldview is.

I wonder if someone actually studied this.

Like did a research project to figure out how properly informed (not propagandized) people are based on number of hours of cable news they consume vs maybe social media or something.

Americans are following the news less closely than they used to?

Great news. They will be less susceptible to brainwashing and maybe more inclined to follow alternative media.

We know something is happening because Americans are less supportive of Israel (than in the past) and it’s genocide against the Palestinian people.

There was a time that the news was so depressing, day in and day out, that I decided to take a time out.

This comes amid changes in news consumption habits, declining trust in the media and high levels of news fatigue.

And probably the fact that the news is full of what our government is doing in the rest of the world while ignoring the concerns of Americans at home.

And that media execs and talking heads are all getting increasingly too lazy to bother trying to cover the fact that they're just spewing bullshit.

i.e., that they're puppets with the government's hand up their ass.

And all other orifices are filled by the hands of those who also own the government.

Yeah I think that the average person is getting cynical towards the news and as a result is not going to tune in.

Hopefully this means alternative media has more audiences.
