I'll be very bluntly honest. That sumbitch troll mod banned me from the JD sub for that last post I did.

So it's just me being real petty and wanting to grow faster and better than anything he can steal just to rub his face in it.

So I got a whole lotta stuff to do to have him eating my dust as I work to catch up and make a sub far better from scratch.

Different platforms with Reddit being more known.

People are mainly cross pollinating as Reddit continues to encroach.

How can you really stop infiltration by other redditors? If they can take over the original sub, they can also takeover the new sub, if it grows big.

Ragnavoke refused to name other mods and he wasn’t as active as the original JD sub needed. So the Majority Report mods were able to send an admin request and get control over the sub. As long as we have enough trusted mods on the new sub it shouldn’t be an issue.

Would suggest you adopt Thumb's approach to adding mods, don't add anyone who doesn't have to be dragged kicking and screaming to the job - obviously that's hyperbole but you get the gist.

For all intents or purposes, I model the sub after Way and take people from the community to be mods. The largest critics are the ones I picked so that they can keep me honest and I gain their trust. We sometimes go in different directions and coalesce and it's my job to steer the ship as captain.

So I hear their concerns and make sure they're not overwhelmed. If they made a mistake, it's my mistake because I'm taking the ball from Ragna to move it forward.

And the way to alleviate that infiltration is to ensure the admin can't take it as others mentioned. So as it grows, take time to check everyone and throw out the Imposter.

The takeover was enabled by the sub's creator and only moderator who refused to name other mods and refused to ban the troll who hijacked the sub, even though he knew for a full year the guy was trying to hijack the sub.

We were focusing on videos for the time being before getting into actual writing.

Even then, I'm going over the mission statement and quite a bit more when I'm not busy running around like a chicken with their head cut off.
