People like Victoria Nuland are dictating military strategy in Ukraine yet her and people like her would probably find it difficult to fire a BB gun let alone any of the advanced weaponry being used on the battlefield. The Ukrainian people will one day awaken to the reality that their people were used as cannon fodder for some sick deranged fantasy of regime change in Russia. These people actually belong in a high security prison as they are a clear and present danger to all of those around them.

I miss Gary Larson. He's not dead, AFAIK, I just miss his cartoons.

I have all the books. At one point I had scanned all of my favs and uploaded them to a Photobucket account, for use in arguments with trolls. Then I saw that he or his publisher is the litigious sort, so i stopped using them.

Excerpt, bold added:

This new stage in American foreign policy could be characterized as Kaganism: neither Democrat or Republican, but rather a non-partisan 21st century crusade for “liberalism.”

Donald Kagan, the patriarch of Kaganism, followed a similar intellectual trajectory to his colleagues Irving Kristol and Norman Podhoretz: Marxist academics who transformed into rabid Reaganoid Cold Warriors in response to the Soviet Union’s support for Arab nationalism and anti-Zionism in the 1960s.

Donald’s sons, the American Enterprise Institute’s Frederick Kagan and the Brookings Institute’s Robert Kagan, were highly influential in the George W. Bush administration through think-tanks such as the Project For A New American Century and the Foreign Policy Initiative, though today they have largely distanced themselves from the GOP following the party’s alienation of Jewish elites through Trumpification.

(related? Biden Administration Unveils Historic Plan To Crush Criticism Of Influential Jews)

The Kaganists blame the rise of China, Russia and Iran on the war and free trade weary American people, who in 2016 even managed to pressure Hillary Clinton into tactically walking back her support for the Trans-Pacific Partnership (a move that enraged Kagan).

Under the doctrine of Kaganism, the only solution to global conflicts is to refuse diplomacy with sovereign states that have different cultures or political traditions, and instead kill and replace them through the Bolshevistic export of “American” values around the world, which they describe as the primacy of New York finance and free trade, arbitrary and illegal regime change wars, open borders and the free movement of people, actively demoralizing and disempowering racial majorities, and other planks of the Jewish Open Society that intends to salt all potential seedbeds for “fascism” or “anti-Semitism,” even though much of the world, including the American people, don’t want it.

The central domestic political theory of Kaganism purports that liberalism is in perpetual antagonism with “populism,” (which the Kagans view as a strain of Fascism), in other words, the will of the people.

At the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Frederick Kagan and ISW founder Kimberly Kagan (Frederick’s wife) have written extensively about the information space as a battle realm no different from the land, sea, and air. Under Kaganism, the minds of citizens are clay to be molded, and the role of the American government and business elites is to manufacture consensus for decisions made by Jewish policy makers through the control and manipulation of cyber space and mass media in the name of policing “misinformation.”

Most of the Kagan clan is dedicated to providing Washington’s ideological framework, but its most prominent member, Robert Kagan’s wife Victoria Nuland, has been instrumental in implementing it around the world. Though previously not as well known, Nuland is no stranger to disastrous foreign policy decisions.

Nuland was publicly identified by the now imprisoned Pakistani leader Imran Khan as the principle architect behind the US orchestrated coup against him, which was executed in retaliation for Khan’s policy of neutrality regarding the Ukraine war. In Niger, where 1,000 US troops are stationed and refuse to leave, Nuland met with the country’s new government to threaten them with violence if they do not restore the deposed puppet government — a threat the Washington-Paris proxy African alliance of ECOWAS has been openly telegraphing as well.

Ever since Washington arbitrarily left the Iran nuclear deal in 2018, the US has been paying cat’s paws like Saudi Arabia to seize Iranian oil ships in the region in order to damage the Iranian economy. Under international law, this is an act of piracy and Iran is legally allowed to defend its vessels through military measures.

This week, the Department of Defense announced that thousands of US soldiers and the Naval battleships will be deployed to the Strait of Hormuz with instructions to fire upon Iranian forces that attempt to seize any ships. This deployment is an open provocation that the Iranians have vowed to respond to in kind, including by utilizing hypersonic missiles if necessary.

In his 2023 book, Kagan does not view World War III as a conflict humanity would be better off avoiding, but instead a testament to the American empire’s invincibility and the necessity of war to spread the ideologies of liberalism, capitalism and globalism.

How many Americans agree with that insane prospect? The Kaganists don’t care.

From the picture at the link, it's obvious that Victoria Nuland isn't the only Kagan who's been feeding at the trough a bit too long.

Yep.

Once you actually look past the current US politial alliance to the actual people involved and their family backgrounds/origins it becomes patently obvious that the Bolshies who destroyed Russia in civil wars and genocides of the ethnic population then got tossed out by Stalin CAME HERE AND TO CANADA to foment hatred and warlust, then to build deep internal power to gain their own horrific ends.

But, but how could communists become neocons? Or even neoliberals? HOW???

Because it was never about that.

It was always about revenge and power to control the world.

It was always about revenge and power to control the world.

And "the noble lie" was a key element of their methods.

What is interesting is I had a critical early key to this long before I knew much about politics or post-revolution Russia/USSR:

I made a friend in the very early 90s who was born in Kiev and lived in Lviv until age 7, when his parents got them out and to Italy where he lived to age 14... then they immigrated to the US and California.

He was only 19 when we met but seemed much more mature in that European way, and as our friendship grew he told me about hos family and their history...

His Grandmother was the niece of Trostsky, and she and her mother were the ONLY family members of that man to survive the Holodomor famines- which he actively fomented.

She had a letter he wrote to HIS grandmother where he laughed in their faces at her begging he tell authorities who reported directly to him they be allowed back onto the family farm to harvest the apples and feed the remaining small animals... basically that they have a chance at living and sharing the food there vs starving to death like most around them.

He mocked their plebian views and said he hoped they all died as they had not sacrificed enough to the cause since resistance fighters still existed in The Ukraine. That if everyone there died it would be justified since they had not supported his faction of Communists when he first began his rise to power. And now he did have to power to order them to all to be starved to death.

His Aunt and her little girl then were snuck out of the city by basically crawling in ditches for miles, then only walking at night and hiding in marshy areas until they reached halfway across The Ukraine and the farm. They survived almost entirely on fallen apples and wild plants in the woods and lived without heat or light in the basement under a destroyed farm out building for a few years in order to not be discovered by roving bands of communist enforcers or the dwindling peasants reduced to cannibalism.

Imagine KNOWING your only surviving family member could have protected you, but he and his wife/kids were powerful and well fed in Russia as they laughed over your deaths instead.

I am quite sure they mourned his assassination later not one bit. Once they heard of it. Not like anyone realized they were related since most anyone who had known him by his real name or growing up was dead.

And the parallels between today's ex-Bolshi families in the West and Trotsky's attitude towards the regular working citizens and the land and power and unnecessary deaths- well, it is striking.

But it was a good 25 years before I showed any interest in politics or the history of the malignant Bolshevik families that got tossed out of the USSR and came west.

What a horrific story, did he say what happened to his aunt, whether she made it out or just laid low until it was safe to come out? That attitude does sound eerily familiar to what we see in the West today.

[–]sdl5 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Trotsky's aunt and her daughter finally came out to the surface to live when a few survivors from the surrounding families returned from the cities after the restrictions eased.

I believe it was YEARS they lived in hiding.

He commented his grandmother (he never met his great grandmother) was clearly suffering from early and severe malnourishment as she was tiny and all but crippled with no teeth even when he was very young.

I am just glad that letter was not destroyed or lost- and I hope some day it ends up in official historical records.
