Any decent, concise summaries on the Ukraine situation?

Have a friend who is basically only familiar with post-2022 MSM myopia (i.e. "Russia bad, Putin evil, moar missiles!") , but is open to diff viewpoints. Just don't want to overwhelm this person with too much at once.

Edit: I probably should've specified, something like an article or a blog, although I do appreciate the gag posts.

It's sad considering his current state, but Gonzalo Lira's primer on Ukraine on YouTube was excellent. This was what got him in prison.

2013-14 Euromaidan. The US backed Far-right extremists to overthrow the pro-Russian govt in Kiev. Euromaidan had popular support but the violent factions were Neo-Nazis. John McCain spoke at a Maidan rally and was photographed with Nazis. Russia never accepted this and took Crimea with the soldiers they already had there and held a referenum

2014-21: Civil War in the East with Ethnic Russian seperatists fighting the Kiev regime. Trump was arming Ukraine and was impeached for threatening to extort Ukrainians about information pertaining to Hunter Biden, by way of withholding lethal military aid. Civil War continues with HRW calling out human rights abuses on both sides

2021-22: Biden continues to leave the door open for Ukraine to have future NATO membership saying "It's up to Ukraine." Russia wants a treaty to make sure Ukraine remains neutral. Zelensky and Biden reject that deal so Russsia invades.

2022-23: Russia had wanted a quick victory but were sanctioned harder and fought against more US and NATO supplied weapons, volunteer fighters from all over Europe than they expected too.. It's turned into a much bloodier type of WW1 style siege warfare with occasional hypersonic missiles and attacks from Ukraine within Russian Territory.

In all seriousness, the sidebar resources listed here are a good place to start them-

Pull up the Ukraine/Russia one.

Supply the US/Biden/HRC/Ukraine data only if you do not think they will shut down entirely from it.

Use Nuland and McCain histories and involvement et al regardless, and the post 1989 realities through the Maiden events to give them a grounding in current players and events.

Then the widespread original reporting on AZOV, corruption, sex trafficking et al in he mid to late 10s, and the US mil going there to train Ukr forces.

Backtrack a bit or introduce initially to cover the Minsk agreements and NATO slash US verbal and written promises, and make sure to include the recent open statements post conflict start by EU leaders etc about never intending to do anything but use them as cover to arm and train Ukr to attack East Ukr and into Ru.

Give the reporting of sabre rattling vs the hysteria western claims regarding the start to these hostilities.

Supply the detailed NordStream reports. Add the nuke plant missile attacks and consistent cluster bombing of the civilian center of Donetsk city in Ea Ukr BY THE UKRAINIANS. Show the topography and logic involved in the Zap Dam blown up and flooding being not from Ru at minimum.

Refute if need be the widespread bs claims from western via Ukr of supposed wins and heroics and "Ukrainian prisoners treated terrible" images from other nations and old timelines in different locations that do not match or defy physics vs actual verified current images confirming the opposite.

Similar to the claims of Ru rocketing apts etc vs the actual civilian damage heavily being debris falling and multiple cases with footage even showing the Ukr anti air defense fired and then going haywire back towards base in populated areas.

Provide the videos and sat and pre/post blasts images showing obvious military use by Ukr of schools and malls and hospitals as bases of heavy equipment and troops across multiple towns and cities after having kicked out regular usage and civilians. This matches acknowledged Ru strikes.

Let's see. Kidnapping kids- evacuating orphans and kids young adults of families and entire families out of the Eastern part of Ukr into safe Ru areas. And the millions of technically Ukrainians that immediately CHOSE to head East through a warzone vs West into EU or just Lvov- even from Mariupol later once not trapped there and given free choice to head towards Western Ukr or NE to Russia on a long route.

You can add the horror of Azovstal if they can handle it, from civilians being stopped and shot by Ukr militias when they tried to use the Ru safe corridor into central Ukr to finding bodies deep inside the Azov holdout mine of "foreign ie American and Western mil" subjected to torture and cannibalism.

Then show the rapid and quality rebuilding of apartment blocks and infrastructure in Mariupol by skilled teams of Ru citizens and businesses brought in on contracts. Then GIVEN to those who's prior homes were.bombed- mostly by retreating Ukr forces early on, some in the street battle between Ru and militia forces. Mention that Ukr has repeated tried to rocket Mariupol new apts since then too...

If you get this far in bite sized pieces.they are either going to be in shock while processing it all- or unreachable. Good Luck

Our biolabs were destroyed by Russia and if they weren't they were writ off as Russian propaganda. Monsanto now owns 40% of Ukrainian soil/soul.

Nazi terrorists (as terrorists) used the Ukrainian civilians as shields- mobilizing out of schools, churches and hospitals. What's worse than a firing line? Having your home invaded, you abducted and told your firing line is abroad on the field your masters chose. Zelensky is conscripting civilians in broad daylight.

Give a small comedian who likes to dress in drag and play piano with his dick all the money and cocaine he ever wanted and the opportunities are endless. For corporate or "human" entities that hate you more than they do Ukraine. And you've seen what they did to them.

It's only a matter of time before Zelensky is Mussolini'd or driven underground a la Bin Laden. Our weapons sent remain in the hands of an eastern European terrorist force the likes of which the planet has not seen. And that is by design.

American influence in Ukraine has been off the charts for decades, we fund what they fight in WWII, Russia sees NATO as a threat and this war has reached this point after 30 years of US Imperialism begin to be dismantled worldwide.
