We're not doing anyone a favor by slinking away from reddit with our tail between our legs. The vast difference between the number of regular posters and the tally of subscribers tells me a lot more people read than commented.

And yes, we were on their shit list and they will use this as an excuse to permanently shitcan us. They'll install their powermods in the larger subs first, but eventually their resident geniuses will work their way down to us, and everything we ever posted there will be gone.

I don't think that anyone is proposing that. It seems to still be on "when do we open back up, and what do we do when that happens?"

Reddit isn't going to cave on this. It is pretty obvious from their communications that they hold users and especially mods in utter contempt, and they think they can manage this with little difficulty.

I personally don't use any of the 3rd party apps, so I don't know what others are going to be losing with the announced changes. My experience with similar situations have been eBay and YouTube shutting down apps that I did use, and they certainly never cared enough to reverse course, even when the changes significantly impacted revenues (eBay).

I won't have mobile, and I hate New Reddit.
