I remember when I thought Communism was just some fringe counterculture political ideal, like in Seinfeld where Elaine is dating a Communist and she thinks it's cool and subversive.

These kids have also been taught that capitalism is their enemy and that Communism will liberate then from all the hard work of having to pay bills and earn a living and stuff.

In many ways, communism will liberate them from having to pay bills... Much in the same way someone knocking your teeth out with a sledge hammer will help make chewing food a thing of the past!

For my money, the worst ones are the ones that embody the "A little learning is a dangerous thing" saying - They know enough about communism to be able to talk about it without actually understanding or recognizing the dangers and problems that arise from it. They embody the "It looks good on paper" aspect of it.

At least they know something about communism, compared to capitalism fan boys who know nothing about capitalism or communism but "know" Communism Bad.

The libertarians are the most hilarious of all.

I dunno about that. That's like saying that some people know that drinking bleach is bad, but can't tell you the chemical reasons why specifically. Understanding that something which turns out bad every time is bad isn't on the same level as claiming it's good and just needs to be done again. I'd rather a bunch of ill-educated people continued to maintain that communism is a failure without being able to tell me the exact downfalls rather than a bunch of ill-educated people saying it will work this time without being able to tell me why it failed. Better to maintain the status quo on ignorance than make things worse out of ignorance.

Libertarians are kinda funny though. At least the "Abolish all government" ones.

Capitalism is the enemy. The elite 0.1% has always wanted to control and oppress the ordinary people out of greed and malice. This has been the case throughout history. Capitalists differ from the ancient kings and dukes only that they don't claim to have won their privilege on the battlefield any more, or by birth, but by virtue of being good at business.

At least the old industrial capitalists actually made goods which made the world a better place for some people. The late 20th and 21st century financial capitalists are just vampires that suck profit out of the pockets of those who do the real work.

Eliminating property doesn't eliminate power and hierarchy. People will hoard power, while nepotism and narcissism drive productivity into the ground.

Who is talking about eliminating property?

If you think communism is about eliminating property, you don't understand communism.

It's the capitalist WEF who wants to eliminate personal ownership of property, at least for the plebs like you and me. We will "own nothing" and like it, they'll own it all. Every capitalist's dream is to let their investments work for them while they do nothing -- which is to say, for them to collect rent from the people actually doing the work. Same as tech companies -- why sell people software when you can charge them a monthly fee for access? It's all about the subscription model, baby.

Communism eliminates private property ownership in an attempt to eliminate greed. Greed isn't great, but it is understandable. I can understand the motivation of someone who wants to haggle a better price out of something. If greed isn't driving someone, then power and narcissism will. I cannot fathom another person's narcissism. Nobody will be able to trust anybody about anything.

People who support communism need to support communism. One gets more than enough criticism of "capitalism" from the communist manifesto. But if you want to sell me on the idea of no property ownership, then you need to tell me what the positives are of communism and how it could work. Endless demagoguery about globalist corporatism isn't an argument.
