In the story of Sodom and Gomorrah the sin which was the source of the incident was lack of hospitality btw. The part where his daughter was thrown to the townsfolk was a gesture to try and calm them down because they were rioting at his house over the fact that he took in the travelers and the townsfolk were big mad about it.

The story says that they tried anally raping angels.

The angels went to stay with Lot and the townspeople came and demanded that Lot bring out the strangers so that they could "know" the strangers. "Know" is the closest translation. The idea of sex is not explicitly stated. There are several spots in the bible where the idea of gay sex is laid on top of the story & there are many language scholars who claim that the way that word which is translated to "know" is not the common word which would have been used for gay sex. Conservative religious scholars have pushed these stories perhaps out of context as evidence that "god hates fags."

Maybe the sodomites viewed gay sex as just another form of sex. That's why they asked to "know" them as if they were women. Butthole is as good as vagina rigght???

Like how nowadays we call it "gay sex" because we accept it, even though we used to call it "buggery" "sodomy" and "buttfucking."

That said, don't stop at Sodom if you want to see why God hates faggotry. Consentual gay sex like the kind we have now is condemned in leviticus.

I grew up Catholic and went through catechism which after reading the Bible was a strong motivating force in causing me to become an atheist. I'm aware that Leviticus is probably the singular strongest argument people pull out of the bible to condemn gay sex. "If a man lays with another man this is an abomination" etc... But this is right next to the lines like "Eating shellfish is an abomination." etc... People like to selectively read into the extreme sin of "abomination" about the laying with another man but ignore the part where eating shrimp or getting a tattoo is exactly the same level of "abomination." Either they are all unforgivable sins or they are just guidelines about cleanliness which try to explain to bronze age goat farmers how to not catch leprosy or tapeworms.

The other popularly quoted anti gay lines like in Romans or this part where sodomy gains it's name are highly questionable if that was the actual meaning. These are stories translated by people with a certain motivation and from what I've read from historians who study ancient languages, the story of Sodom is about hospitality which makes a ton of sense contextually because if you look back at the ancient Greek pantheon, Zeus who was the king of gods was associated as being the god of hospitality. In that religion, Zeus would disguise himself as human travelers and see if people would put him up for the night as a test of hospitality. The bible and later Christianity took collections of stories of the time and incorporated them into their own mythology.

"Eating shellfish is an abomination."

Ceremonial.

"committing sodomy is an abomination"

Moral.

Also there are parts of the new testament where Saint Paul says "man bedders" and "the effeminate" go to hell. Those were words for penis fag, and butthole fag at least that's what I heard but I could be wrong.

parts where he talks about cities that won't worship God turning into fags and lesbians and they did "shameful" things with their own sex...

It's pretty clear. Sorry, I don't make the rules.

If the people of Sodom had just wanted to know the strangers and be friendly with them they'd have been hospitable.

Issue with Sodom is they had rape gangs essentially . I do believe in Judges there's another mention of a roving rape gang of young men that isn't particular.

We could definitely argue that raping strangers to your town is a hospitality issue but that's like arguing stabbing visitors to death is impolite. It's true. But it's a massive spin.

u/q-continuum-kin's idea:

"Excuse me sir, I do believe you left your penis in my butthole! Don't you know that when someone visits your town, the (squints monacle) POLITE thing to do is to take them out for dinner first??"

🤣🤣🤣 too funny to be real🤣

"To know someone" is used throughout the book of Genesis in the King James translation as a euphemism for sex. It's pretty obvious.

"And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.

6 And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him,

7 And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.

8 Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof."

By context it's clear that the men of Sodom had sexual motivations. Now perhaps you could argue that the angels were beautiful beings and they weren't gay or whatever. I don't think the bible is particularly clear on this point though it is heavily implied.

Compare the usage to Genesis.

"And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord."

"And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew."

Basically you can just replace the word know with the word fuck in these cases.

I essentially agree with you except

in the King James translation

Being that the translation has motive to translate in a certain way. I've seen someone go through the original grammar of the original text and show arguments that the translation to specifically refer to gay sex was questionable. Lots of bible websites now just say "gay sex" or something similar because they have an agenda.

Don't give ideas to the woke. They are already crazy as is...

They're already doing it. I heard an exorcist say something about people fucking "incubuses" which are demons (AKA evil fallen angels) that fuck you.

STAY AWAY.

There will always be more.

In fact, if you give in to all the demands of the leftists today, they'll wake up screaming with a whole new list of demands tomorrow.

It will never stop.

"Wokeness" on the whole will dissipate, and faster when the people against it decide to stop being scared and speak out about it. Not online, doesn't count, never will, but in public.

But that doesn't really matter, it exacerbated the culture wars, which was it's design from page 719 of the subversion handbook, and it's intention had been well served while you slide further down the slope.

I was literally just behind a guy with a license plate that said "2 genders." A weak statement but a statement none the less. All its gonna do is get his car keyed from some butthurt tranny.
