Just to be clear - I'm not saying anything about black people as a group with this posting. But I am saying that it seems the institutions are trying hard to skew their reporting statistics. I wonder if they are now at the point where they get more funding for reporting more diversity in the number of people they lock up?

My first though is photoshop. My second is clerical/system error (never attribute to malice that which can be explained by incompetence). Only my third thought is that it's intentional fuckery.

If there were more than 4 examples I might be more suspicious but data entry clerks have been consistently entering garbage into forms since the concept of forms existed.

But I don't doubt someone out there has thought about fudging the numbers to make the FBI stats look better. As the old SJW motto goes, "There are no bad tactics, only bad targets" i.e. the ends always justify the means.

My guess is in the computer database "white" is the first in the list and if people don't select an option it just defaults to white.
