No shit. Easy way to deal with this I reckon though.

Say I'm a doctor. Patient comes in and refuses to disclose their sex. No big deal, I'll just refuse to treat them, same as if they refused to disclose their age, or their name, or relevant medical history.

Other situation, patient fraudulently discloses their sex, doctor doesn't realize it, gets harmed as a result, well, that's on the patient. Or at least should be.

It's like this "hey are you allergic to latex? No? Ok"

Shit you are actually allergic to latex? Oh you only "identify" as not being allergic to latex. Right. "Note patient is mentally handicapped and I recommend they be referred to court so their agency to make medical decisions is restricted".

What they really need to know is how bad of a medical case the patient has turned themselves into with whatever amount of drugs and surgeries they've had done.

No sane trans person would try to hide that information from their doctor anyway. One the doctor is going to find out regardless eventually, two it's painfully obvious to all with even the slightest amount of medical knowledge that such information is pertinent to diagnosis and treatment.

Like if we are generous towards a trans person who would not disclose their birth sex to their doctor because they "identify" as the other sex, as a sincerely held belief and not an attempt to get a lawsuit settlement, it would absolutely call into question their understanding and capability to consent to any gender transition treatments in the first place.

Well yeah, but how many people are we talking about here? There are troons suing gynecologists for refusing to see them.

I mean that's a clear scam. Any judge worth their salt should throw the book at such a person.

Or you know. Have the doctor countersue for sexual harassment. That's what I'd do. Oh you wanna pretend to be female under the guise of a medical examination then whip out your penis? Ok, police please arrest this man. Yes I'll be pressing charges. Let's see how much does emotional damage go for these days.

I mean, there is the third option: Just go with a new route and make some bank with it. Shit, if someone decided to go into the field of trans-centric gynecology, I don't even think you'd have to be a doctor since the whole point is you're faking it for the benefit of snarts. Just make the appointment, put them in the stocks, say "yes, you are stunning and brave, the feminine fumes are really coming in right now, you are totally cute and heckin' valid, that definitely looks like a dragon's vagina", then give them a health insurance-free fee for the service and send them on their way with a call to come in later.

The only sacrifice you might have to make is learn to use a speculum for "okay, here's the speculum to check your rot pocket or bussy because of your stunning and brave girldick- tell me when this makes you coom..."

Nah it's not worth it in the long term unless you've got an exit plan to run overseas to a country with no extradition treaty. Eventually all these doctors are going to get the shit sued out of them for malpractice, so unless you plan to spend your retirement years either in North Korea or Rikers Island maybe not the best of plans.

There's plenty of less risky ways to profiteer off the crazy people. Like just make an Etsy account and buy a bunch of cheap Chinese bracelets or whatever, paint them pastel colours, then call them affirmation bracelets female aura enhancement rings or some such shit and sell them at a 5000% markup.

like Yaniv getting slapped by the bikini waxers, the local fire department, the university campus, and I think a doctor

strong "aren't you going to RAVISH me?!" vibe

It's win-win for trans lobby groups.

Patient falsifies their sex, gets improper medical care, lobby groups say "look, the system is biased against trans folx! Give us more money to advocate for better representation!"

I mean just throw their own logic back at them.

What is your sex? (Not gender)

Are you trans? Yes ? No? (Also very relevant for medical purposes)

Do you need a box for their disclosed preferred gender? I say no. It seems irrelevant medically. Plus why disclose such information when it isn't necessary? I do the same with government forms asking for race. Why do you need to know my race when I get a driver's licence? Can I leave it blank? No, ok I identify as other "human".

You need my fucking preferred gender and pronouns on this form. Alright. Tick other, write in my name. Preferred pronouns "I/me".

"No what pronouns do you prefer I call you?"

Oh ok.

"Your majesty"

I understand your frustration with certain personal information being requested on forms that may seem irrelevant or unnecessary. It can be challenging to find the balance between providing necessary information for medical purposes while respecting an individual's privacy and identity. In the case of gender and pronouns, some individuals may feel strongly about expressing their preferred gender and pronouns to ensure respectful and inclusive communication. While the use of humor, like referring to oneself as "Your Majesty," can highlight the absurdity of certain situations, it's important to remember that respect and understanding are key in fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for all individuals.

Well, that's just the start. We haven't even gotten to furries who demand to be seen by veterinarians yet.

Imagine spending 12 years getting your undergraduate, then your medical degree, then spending time in residency, learning a hyper-specific knowledge base that allows you to literally take people apart and understand them like a computer or a motor vehicle, only for some coombrained retard in his sister's skirt to show up and get you fired because his 5 o'clock shadow caused a Freudian slip and you called him "sir", which is still more respect than he deserves.

In the US, official paperwork has recently started to ask for "Gender" instead of "sex" because government and corporate bureaucracy is so slow moving that the paperwork is just catching up to like 2010. I wonder if the ship turns around, just how long does it take to see it reflected in the paperwork.
