So there's an entire sub for this gross Troon.

It's nice that people are being allowed to question whether this individual is in fact a fake and a grifter, but apparently when that kind of scepticism is applied systematically it becomes 'transphobia'. Like do they think this Lilly Troon is the first person to pull this shit with these motivations?

Nah common trend. You have some sociopath that is an asshole with everyone to manipulate people. If you're a no nonsense no bullshit type of person they'll try to sink you but usually people will get wise to it as they burn through their social contacts, what to do? Trendy identity that is not allowed to criticize? Gains tons of randos defending you to bully those who realize you're a sociopath so you can keep on sociopathing it up, happens a lot I think.

Two types of transexuals really, not the Blachard theory either that's old now. It's like, sociopaths jumping on the latest trend for attention, and the actual gender dysphoric types who I think are confused and crazy but at the very least are people I don't mind associating with so long as they don't cause me problems and most just want to be left alone.

Only one type is crying for attention on TikTok.

It's like people pretending to have cancer, and get donations from people that sympathize. It's a money motivation too.

Back when go-fund me went big someone in my extended acquaintance circle put up one that was basically like "Give John Doe money" didn't say any reason why he needed it. Didn't do anything really. Guy literally just was like, "let's see if people are stupid enough to just give me money".

Which I approve of, didn't give him money though. Caused a real shit storm online though with people accusing him of fraud and worrying he was in trouble. It's like, he didn't fraud you, he said "I want money" didn't say he was sick, didn't say he needed the money, you just gave it to him because you are retarded.

Can't imagine half of go fund me types are legit. It is just so easy to fraud people with it it isn't funny. Old scam pre-internet. Sob story my baby died I need money. Oh really where is the obituary? Your kid died and there is zero evidence? No police report? No news article? Oh I'm the asshole for hounding a grieving parent for proof? Lol ok. Maybe I am but they aren't really a grieving parent.

Not just go fund me but social media, youtubers get paid, that Dylan mulvaney guy started on tiktok, they don't pay a lot but he turned his popularity into deals with bud light worth millions. I bet he's not even really trans. For example the rapper lil nas x isn't really gay. Young liberals are the dumbest with their money so that demographic gets focused on the most by scammers. Old senile people do too for similar reasons. The old conservative boomer demographic tho is too smart so advertisers and scammers don't bother with them as much.

There's definitely a conservative boomer targeted sort of scam as well. Tends to rarely if ever get much public attention.

Mostly it's done by sending out newsletters asking for money and subscriptions to the newsletter. "I'm a Christian war vet appalled by the state of our countries decline into communism! Buy my newsletter so I'll reveal the satanist communist plan to use barcodes to be the mark of the beast, buy one for everyone you know and save their eternal souls!"

That's true. That's like those buying snake oil from Alex jones right? I don't understand how he makes so many millions but that can he explained if he's bankrolled by the feds, controlled opposition, a common theory.

[–]Alienhunter糞大名 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Dunno about that, Jones is fucking hilarious and I think he's a comedian doing a bit that stumbled on a gold mine and the bit kept going. I just think there's a lot of people out there who buy the snake oil. I've seen a bunch of scams thinking "my god who will fall for this shit" well, lot's of people will. You prey on peoples religious fears you can basically short circuit the rational parts of their brain, had this argument many times with people over mark of the beast scare scams.

"You realize that there's no way to prepare for armegeddon right? You just need to trust that God will protect you and live your life"

"But what if you're wrong, better buy it anyway"

Flipping through American television once I stumbled upon some guy pretending to be a pastor selling "no evil oil". Which was oil prayed over by a virgin for 7 days or some shit, put it on pictures of your family members to get good luck, sorry I mean divine providence. It's basic witchcraft, magic practice. Common among all cultures, I think it's just the modern american version of it, people trying to find a "hack" in the universe to get free shit, and people sitting around taking advantage of that.

Weight loss, you could eat more healthy and exercise more, fucking easy to figure out, not so easy to actually do. Or you could go with some trendy diet pill or weird method someone has cooked up and is selling in their get rich quick scheme, sorry lose weight quick scheme.

Wanna learn a language? "LEARN A LANGUAGE IN ONLY 15 MINUTES A DAY USING THE BLAH BLAH BLAH METHOD! NO WITH COMPUTER FEEDBACK" will it actually work? Nah.

Most people are stupid. Conservative, liberal, high IQ, low IQ, doesn't matter. Humans would rather waste time and money trying to figure out some kind of life hack than just doing the shit they need to do and finishing faster than it takes to figure out the life hack.

I can see that, economies of scale, there's billions of people, out of them there must be millions of dumb boomers at least, if a million people each give you ten dollars, you're doing well.

They all find a hook that will work on someone. I think a lot of it is driven by anxious paranoia about stuff out of their control. A super smart person might laugh at shit like flat earth and the lizard people but be utterly terrified of imminent and totally economic collapse and be an easy target for the gold merchants. That's a big one on a lot of conservative media. They know their marketing angles. Protect your family, protect your future, buy a heavy metal you can't eat or use in any practical way that the government has seized in the past and likely will do again if shit really fucks up. People buy loads of it. I've always thought, if I really thought that the economy was gonna collapse and gold was the answer, I'd be fucking buying gold from people not selling it. Obviously they don't believe their own pitch.

Same with health stuff. Prey on people's insecurities and fears. Literally the snake oil pitch from forever ago.

I think liberals and conservatives tend to fall for different sorts of scams but the underlying reason for it is the same, fear. Conservatives are fearful of some kind of collapse and will buy all sorts of useless crap that promises stability. Liberals, ironically, are kinda the same except their scams usually focus less on maintaining ability and more on some novel way of improving yourself. Afraid you are a racist, well better by the bonefied anti racist training so you to can learn the secrets of not being a racist. Did you know that just talking normally to a black person might be racist, omg!

and of course plenty of people'd fake cancer if every time someone doubted them they were defended by hundreds of screaming randos yelling "oh so you think cancer is fake?! in this house we believe cancer. is. real!" etc

[–]Alienhunter糞大名 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

Lol I suppose you believe in Capricorn and Aquarius as well. In my house we don't believe the stars control our destiny.

At least stars exist

[–]Alienhunter糞大名 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

That's what NASA and Hollywood want you to think!

[–]Jiminy 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Even the Bible says stars exist, the 3 wise men followed one
